Biostone .01 Micron hollow membrane / carbon filter, also called a hollow membrane filter – there are hundreds of hollow membrane filter fibres in a Biostone Ultra Filter.this filter is the same size filter that is used in kidney dialysis. It is the finest (smallest micron) domestic filter available and will remove virtually everything except for the essential alkalizing minerals. For most applications the 0.1 Micron will be more than sufficient, but in some applications or for specific water quality concerns the 0.01 Micron provides an additional level of filtration. Be aware that this filter will require more frequent replacement, Jupiter recommend replacement on a six monthly basis.
Below the hollow membrane stage the filter is the same as the .1m Biostone – 4 fiber filters, silver impregnated Granulated Activated Carbon, Calcium and Bioceramic Tourmaline.
